Dirty Lanudry:
A Homemade Telenovela

I made this fifteen-minute film from a collection of home movies, real-life telenovelas and my own fiction. It's about a girl's spin cycle cut short when she's asked to prepare for her cousin's quinceneras.
Grandma's Hip Hop
I was one of ten filmakers selected by Latino Public Broadcasting to create a one-minute PSA for public television. It's about a hearing impaired Abuelita who imagines the sounds of her kitchen become an intergenerational hip hop beat that bridges old world sounds with a new world style.
Wheels Of Change
I created this one-minute minifilm for Banco Popular, one of the 2007 New York International Latino Film Festival sponsors . It's about an old western-style turf war between a new immigrant piragurero and a Puerto Rican Schwinn Bike Club member both fighting for rights to a Brooklyn block.

Fulana.org
I created three short satirical parodies with my Latina arts collective, fulana.org. The films I made are Latino Plastic Cover, Lupe & JuanDi From the Block and Amneza.

The Last Conquistador
This hour-long PBS documentary follows the construction of the world's largest bronze equestrian statue. It's a monument to a little-known Spanish colonizer, Juan de Onate, who is both the Father of Hispanic Southwest and the first European to introduce genocide to the area. This collaboration was broadcast on POV on July 15th, 2008.
